Staff Information
Pat Schinka is the owner and manager of this facility. She has had pets including dogs all her life. Her pet list includes horses, dogs, ferrets, bunny, birds and stray cats. She has worked in the service industry for over 20 years including working for Motorola, Ameritech (SBC) and Oracle Corporation. Her background in the service industry and the compassion for animals has brought her to fulfilling this need. Together with the well-trained professional handlers the center will reflect the affectionate level of care and professionalism for a safe and enjoyable experience for both the pets and the staff.
The other staff members will go through an intensive training that will include understanding breeds and their needs; aggressive behavior handling, productive play methodologies and behavior modifications. There will be special guidelines and rules on how to handle waste and cleanup/disinfection procedures, with safety and expediency as top priorities. They will gain the understanding and knowledge of how to identify pet healthcare issues. With updates and reviews of knowledge sharing with other sites, professional trainers and veterinarians.
What is a Doggie Daycare?
Doggie Daycare Centers provide a service to dog owners, where they bring their dogs to the center and the pet can interact with other dogs, get groomed or have a check up from the veterinarian and go home tired. Similar to child daycare centers, Doggie Daycare has regular scheduled activities with structure, positive reinforcement and a playful happy surrounding. Rules that apply at home will be practiced at the center, including no sitting on the couch and outside release areas. There will be special resting areas with cushioned beds and individual eating areas. A stable pet is one that is exposed to social interaction regularly under controlled atmosphere. Doggie Daycare does not provide overnight stays or long-term vacation stays, but postings for other services from other service providers will be provided.

No more feeling guilty for leaving your pet, we provide peace of mind while you are at work or away from your pet for the day. No More weekends at the vet or groomer, these services will be offered during the day for your convenience. Your dog will be happy, exercised, and well balanced when you take them home.
Maddy's Doggie Daycare Center (MDDC) is the product of need. We adopted Zeus in the fall of 2004 as a one year old 130 pound Great Dane Puppy. We felt a place where Zeus could go and get his energy out would be great. He could play with other dogs, be taken care of for the special needs that Great Danes have and we would not feel guilty for going to work, school or the gym. We had a need, and found that we were not alone, so we created MDDC.
